Marv Wolfman, der Autor der originalen "Crisis On Infinite Earths" - Comic Book- Serie äußerte sich aktuell im Interview mit der SupermanHomepage zu seiner Mitwirkung an der TV- Version:
"...I was asked by Exec Producer Marc Guggenheim if I’d like to work with him on one of the Crisis episodes. I jumped at the chance. Crisis
has always been incredibly important to me and being able to work on
this incredible event was thrilling beyond belief. I thank Marc so much
for the offer. He was truly great to work with.
Does it inspire the same sense of awe the original had? And again, the answer is yes. Nobody had ever done such a massive team up in comics before Crisis.
And nobody has ever done such an incredible crossover event on TV before this.
Five shows, the casts of those shows a well as others, plus many other stars who had played DC heroes in previous shows.
This was truly groundbreaking, just as our Crisis was so many years ago. But most importantly, you can feel their love for the original Crisis throughout the shows...."
...in dieser fünfteiligen "freien" TV-Adaption der "COIE" wirken neben den regulären Helden und Schurken der sogenannten "Arrowverse"- TV-Serien auch viele Figuren aus älteren DC TV-Serien mit:
"Clark" & "Lois" (Tom Welling & Erica Durance aus "Smallville", wo es ja selbst schon Parallelwelten-Stories gab!), die Barry Allen / The Flash Version (John Wesley Shipp) aus den Jahren 1990/91 (jetzt angesiedelt auf "Earth-90"), "Black Lighning" (zwar auch Held einer CW -Show, hatte bisher aber noch keine Crossover zu den sogenannten "Arrowverse"-Serien des Senders), "John Contantine" (aus der kurzlebigen eigenen NBC-Serie; inzwischen hat Constantine regelmäßige Auftritte innerhalb der "DC Legends Of Tomorrow"-Serie), Batman -!- (hier in der "Kingdom Come"-Version und dargestellt von Kevin Conroy, der jahrzehntelang die Stimme des Dark Knight innerhalb der verschiedenen "Batman Animated" Serien und -Filme war), "Superman" (in der "Kingdom Come" bzw. "Superman Returns" - Version, dargestellt von Brandon Routh). Darsteller Burt Ward ("Robin" / "Dick Grayson" in der kultigen 60er Jahre "Batman" - TV-Serie) hat wohl auch 'nen Gast-Auftritt (Rolle noch geheim!).
Am Set der Dreharbeiten gesichtet wurden aber auch der Darsteller des "Jim Corrigan" alias "The Spectre" (aus der "John Constantine" TV-Serie) sowie Tom Ellis (der seit fünf seasons den "Lucifer" gibt, aus den kultigen DC-Vertigo Comics), auch wenn Warner Bros. seine Mitwirkung Ellis' an der "COIE" - tv-version verneint...
