 erscheinenden 5-teiligenVERTIGO - Adaption des aktuellen Quentin Tarantino - Films DJANGO UNCHAINED ist auf Verlags- / Vertriebsebene ausverkauft! (Die letzten Exemplare sind bei uns in der Torstraße aber noch verfügbar!)

Die Comic-Adaption basiert auf dem kompletten Original-Drehbuch und enthält daher auch Sequenzen die im fertigen Film fehlen... (zumindest wohl bis zum möglichen "Director's Cut" irgendwann auf blu-ray? ;) 


DC Comics kündigen derweil eine Zweit-Auflage des ersten Heftes an (das als Cover dann eine schwarz-weiß-Version des eigentlich farbigen "1:50- Varianten" von Star-Zeichner Jim Lee erhält!)

DJANGO UNCHAINED #1, the first issue of the explosive miniseries adapting the latest epic film by Oscar-winning writer/director Quentin Tarantino, has sold out and is going back to press for a new, second printing! 

 DJANGO UNCHAINED #1 Second Printing will feature a black and white version of the variant cover by Jim Lee. This issue is scheduled to arrive in stores on February 6 and will be on FOC on January 14. Retailers may order this issue by

contacting their Diamond Customer Service Representative...

Derweil sorgt der Kino-Film (der in dieser Woche seine

Deutschland-Premiere in Anwesenheit
von Regisseur Tarantino und seinen Darstellern in Berlin feierte; "Eier müßt ihr haben!") auch für Kontroversen:

Amerikanische Menschenrechtsgruppierungen rufen zum Boykott der DJANGO UNCHAINED -Action-Figuren auf. Man hält es für geschmacklos  "Spielzeug basierend auf Sklaven" zu verkaufen...

Hier die Kritiken zum Film der Los Angeles Times ("A Bloody, Brazen Spectacle...") und New York Times ("It's better than Lincoln...").

...und (nochmals) ein Beitrag über Quentin Tarantino's Überraschungs-Auftritt auf dem offiziellen DC / VERTIGO -Panel der "San Diego Comic Con 2012" (wir hatten berichtet)! Dort wurde erstmals der DJANGO UNCHAINED Comic angekündigt.

"While the comic tells the same basic story as the film, it's also filled with different scenes. The comic adaptation is true to the original screenplay by Tarantino — instead of the movie, so it's turning out a little different...

...Newsarama talked to the filmmaker/writer about his work on Django Unchained and why he stands by the its controversial subject matter — and we also found out there may be more Quentin Tarantino comics on the horizon..."

 Hudlin: "We are just really excited about this. It was such a pleasure to watch Quentin flip through that first issue, and his pleasure at seeing a comic book adaptation of his work. He turned to me and said, "Can you believe we never did this before?" And I was like... "You're telling me? Can you imagine, like, a Kill Bill comic book?" And he goes, "Yeah!" "
