John Cassaday zum "Chief Creative Officer" ernannt.
Der französische Verlag Humanoids ist besonders bekannt für seine "bandes dessinees (BD) " (z.B. der Zeichner - Legenden
Moebius oder
Jodorowsky ) aber auch als Lizenzgeber des amerikanischen
"Heavy Metal" Comic Magazins (deren französischsprachige Vorlage
"Metal Hurlant" schon vor vielen Jahrzehnten eingestellt wurde).

"Eisner Award" Gewinner
John Cassaday wurde (auch wegen des Jubiläums) nun kürzlich zum CCO ernannt.
"John Cassaday is one of the seminal artists of the comic book
industry," so Humanoids CEO und Herausgeber

"John created
"I Am Legion" for Humanoids in 2004 and became part of the Humanoids
family. From now on, he will play a major role in Humanoids' original
content development that will have the industry talking."

Im Laufe seiner Karriere gewann
Cassaday mehrere der renomierten "Eisner Awards" (so als "Best Penciller/Inker" for
"Astonishing X-Men" (Marvel) und
"Planetary" (DC/ Wildstorm). Außerdem Auszeichnungen in den Kategorien "Best Ongoing
Series" (
"Astonishing X-Men" gemeinsam mit
Joss Whedon. Seine künstlerischen Fertigkeiten konnten Comic Fans bereits in Serien der Verlage DC, Marvel, Dark Horse, Image und
Dynamite bewundern.
Zusätzlich hat Humanoids Inc. jetzt auch den Autoren und Comic-Experten
Mark Waid verpflichtet! Der Fanboy Deluxe wird den Verlag künftig als "Director of Creative Development" begleiten. Der ebenfalls mit dem "Eisner Award" ausgezeichnete
Waid wurde kurz vor der "New York Comic Con" (der nach der "San Diego Comic Con" wichtigsten US- Comic- Fach-Messe) für den Posten nominiert.

Auf der kürzlich zu Ende gegangenen "New York Comic Con" kündigte Verlag Humanoids offiziell den Start des
"H1" -Imprint an.
Die Heft-Serien die innerhalb dieses Imprints zur Veröffentlichung kommen werden, spielen alle in einem gemeinsam genutzten Universum, bevölkert mit neuen Characteren und auch Superhelden.
Humanoids’ neuer

"Director of Creative Development" Mark Waid werden gemeinsam die "Architekten dieses neu entstehenden Comic Universums" sein....

Die ersten drei neuen ongoing Heft-Serien starten im Sommer 2019. Hier die offiziellen Inhaltsangaben (die natürlich noch recht vage gehalten sind) aus dem

- "Ignited" will see the planet attempting to rebalance itself,
even as the human population surges. Among that growing population,
individuals are developing superpowers, and they are being labeled the
Ignited.
- "Omni" follows the life of doctor Cecelia Cobbina, who
suddenly becomes Ignited after an incident in Africa. She can now think
faster than the speed of light, which is completely overwhelming.
- "Strangelands" sees Elashi and Adam Land forced into close contact, because if they separate, the planet may be destroyed.

- "The Big Country" follows Grissom Callahan, the in a long
line of Texas sheriffs. The Old West is dead, and cowboy tactics don’t
work well when facing a serial killer. Grissom will have to adapt if he
wants to survive.
- "Meyer" is the imaginary biography of Jewish mobster Meyer Lanksky, combining an immigrant story with Breaking Bad.
- "Nicnevin and the Bloody Queen" starts with a modern-day
druid attempting to unleash the gods of Great Britain with some human
sacrifice. But when he picks Nicnevin “Nissy” Oswald as his latest
victim, things don’t go as planned.
