"Battle of the Atom" ist der Titel des 10 - teiligen Comic Book - Crossover "Event" welches Disney's MARVEL COMICS Imprint im September und Oktober in den Comic-Fachhandel ausliefert.
Mit diesem Mehrteiler feiert man bei Marvel (nochmals) den 50. Geburtstag der originalen "X-Men" - Heftchen Serie; lt. Marvel- Pressetext der “first major X-Men crossover event in over three years” .
Wem also "Avengers vs X-Men" (und "A VS X") als Geburtstags-Feier-Event-Serie nicht genug waren sollte jetzt auch bei "Battle Of The Atom" zugreifen... Zu den Kreativen hinter diesem Event gehören unter anderem Brian Michael Bendis ("Age Of Ultron") sowie Jason Aaron, Brian Wood, Frank Cho, Stuart Immonen, Chris Bachalo, David Lopez und Giuseppe Camuncoli.Der Storybogen zieht sich hierbei zwei Monate lang durch vier der diversen "X-Men"- related Heft-Serien; zwei "Battle Of The Atom" Sonderhefte bilden die sogenannten "Bookends" (also quasi Prolog und Epilog der Geschichte).
