Ein alternder Rockstar in der Midlife Crisis, eine junge Kellnerin, ein Mädchen auf der Suche nach Ihrem Vater... Viel Personal lässt Alex Robinson in seiner fast 350 Seiten starken Graphic Novel "Ausgetrickst" auftreten. Die Figuren leben zunächst eigenständig in ihren Kapiteln, doch werden sie sich am Ende alle begegnen, und wie es dazu kommt liest sich ausgesprochen spannend.
In klaren schwarz/weiss Bildern und mit recht viel Text erzählt Alex Robinson vom Leben, von Menschen in der Grossstadt, ihren Wegen und Schicksalen, fesselnd und anrührend, ohne jemals autobiographisch rumzujammern.
Ein toller graphischer Roman, auch für Leute, die sonst keine Comics lesen. Wer schon immer mal wissen wollte, was Zeichner wie FLIX oder Jason Lutes in ihrer Freizeit lesen, findet hier die Antwort und gute Unterhaltung.
